It’s been 14 months since I left Accenture.

I spent 22 years at my home away from home, so leaving was a long, hard decision and came with its own sadness and process of letting go. I know it’s incredibly late, but a huge thank you to all my amazing Accenture colleagues, friends, clients and all-round amazing human beings for the support through the years and for allowing me to learn from you and grow with you.

There has been a lot to process – moving from back-to-back meetings, sales targets and constant delivery demands to having time to breathe, take in the moment, and be present with the people around me. I’ll post this later when online, but I’m writing this from a mid-week getaway in the mountains. As I sit here, I have no wifi or cellphone signal, no deadlines, no meetings to rush to and no email or WhatsApp messages demanding my attention. I can just be.

…and it’s amazing.

I don’t take for granted how blessed I am to be able to step out of the corporate working world and take the time I need for me. I am so grateful for the friends, teachers and mentors who helped shape my thinking and all the lessons that gave me the courage to step out of my comfort zone and move into a different way of being. It’s been a profound shift – in mind, body and spirit.

I now find myself wanting to help others change their perspective as well, especially those frustrated or feeling stuck in their business/careers – both executives and entrepreneurs. I’m a bit of a testament to it really being possible to shape the life and career you want.
